A Journey Through Dunfermline….
Discover the history, art, and heart of Scotland’s ancient capital in this inspiring exhibition for all ages, by local artist Charlie Marshall, on show in the Community Gallery at Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries.
A three-year project, ‘A Journey Through Dunfermline’, brings the city’s landmarks to life through Charlie’s stunning oil paintings - displayed alongside beautiful old photographs from the OnFife archives and fascinating stories about each building.
Charlie’s inspiring journey - from car crash to canvas - is also featured, showing how art became his path to recovery and redefining his purpose.
Clan MacKenzie Routes are delighted to be part of this project and we welcome you to join us on an hour long walking tour around the city’s historic quarter and see the sites and hear their associated stories, their history and the folklore. These walks start and finish at the Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries, so once you’ve been on the walk, pop in to see Charlie’s interpretation of the sites we’ve explored.
